About the designs.....Living in Far East Asia for nearly a decade was the inspiration for the furniture at Texas Tuscan Furniture Designs. I observed in my travels people who lived in tune with the earth whether in the Mediterranean, South East Asia or the Middle East share a similar quality to their life. There exists a creative beauty in the organic objects in their lives. I started designing and collecting furniture in my travels. This passion evolved into interior design projects both residential and commercial. After repatriating to the grand State of Texas in 2001 I found further inspiration bringing a larger scale to my designs and keeping the wood as 'raw' as possible using the live edges on the table tops. Texas Tuscan Furniture Designs offers impressive wood thickness, dramatic wood color and detail. About the wood .......I have been using wood from old buildings, ships ,bridges and saving dead trees up to 200 years of age from burn piles since 1993. Repurposing old wood brings the unique quality to my collection.
